Abbots Langley Annual Carnival and Parade

Dear Resident

 

We are fast approaching one of our biggest community events of the year.

 

As part of the event, several roads will be temporarily closed to ensure the safety of all attendees. We kindly ask all residents to take note of the following important information:

 

Abbots Langley Neighbourhood Policing Team, with support from our Special Constabulary and Three Rivers Cadets will be in and around the event.

 

🚧Road Closures:

To facilitate the parade, the following roads will be closed to vehicles during the event:

 

  • Hazelwood Lane, Broomfield Rise, Gallows Hill Lane, Popes Road, Breakspeare Road ( Junction to Popes road), Trowley Rise (including side roads), Tibbs Hill Road (including side roads) and High Street. 
  • Closures will be in effect from 12:00 and will be closed/ open while the Parade is moving, the Parade will return to School Mead around 1:30pm.

     

    Please plan ahead and use alternative routes where possible.  Event Stewards and signage will be in place to help direct traffic.

     

    🚗 Parking & Safety

     

  • Please do not block driveways, pavements, or emergency access points.
  • Please do not park on the grass area outside Breakspeare school nor the grass area to Manor House Playing area.
  • Additional parking will be available at the long stay car park behind the parade of shops on the High Street.
  • We have been made aware that Three Rivers Parking Enforcement Team will be around during this event.

     

    The Carnival Starts at 12:00 on Manor House Grounds and finishes at 5pm
